Britax Marathon 70-G3 Convertible Seat Review :

Improving all the time. Better (incrementally) than last model.
First of all there isn't that much different than the previous model - so if you are looking to save a few dollars, then have no issues looking at last years model.

The good things about this seat that are improvements:
1. the base seems a little more compact and it has a rubberized edge to reduce "slipping" and / "sliding"
2. The head restraint now is able to be positioned very easily (my Advocate Cs is a screw type of mechanism that takes forever to adjust), just grab the handle at the top and pull upwards to adjust
3. The center "buckle" now has a more stationary and "attached" crotch pad. The older models have the pad that can come off very easily and get lost :(.

Overall the fabric cover seems very similar, the adjustment process is almost identical, the padding seems the same, and side impact protection is still excellent.

A great "next step" that adds some small improvement but not a revolutionary difference than slightly older models.... Britax makes great car seats and I trust the brand. All of my kids sit in Britax car seats.

IT FITS!!!!!
After several carseats tried and returned for my large 20 pound 6 month old (including Sunshine-Radian/Cosco/Graco) this is the one that fits in my car! The car is a Mazda-CX7 with both an unfortunate tilt in the rear seat and a minimum of space that made rear-facing seats difficult to use while still attaining the proper 30-45 degree angle recommended for rear-facing infants. This car seat worked and pleasantly well---freeing up a good 4-5 inches of space behind my infant's head and the car's front passenger seat. Material is good with good padding--so much so that he fell asleep in it today and he rarely does that so far in carseats. His head was not tilted or slumped and was held in place by the deep-side impact shell. The stellar safety rating of the seat doesn't hurt either!;) If I had ONE bad thing to say it would be the side impact and height of the seat make it slightly harder to heave kiddo in and out---but that's also what makes it so good, so I wouldn't really complain about it.
